Creating Hero’s brand wasn’t just about aesthetics—it was about crafting a visual language that captured power, resilience, and exclusivity while standing out in the crowded fitness supplement market.

DIFFERENTIATION IN A SATURATED MARKET

The supplement industry is filled with bold, high-energy branding, often featuring flames, lightning bolts, and exaggerated muscle imagery. Hero needed to be powerful but refined, avoiding clichés while still appealing to gym enthusiasts.

  • A superhero-inspired visual theme without being comic-like.

  • A minimalist yet strong identity—dark backgrounds, sharp typography, and a striking red icon.

  • A unique mirrored "E" to signal that Hero is different from the rest.

BALANCING STRENGTH & SOPHISTICATION

Challenge

Many gym supplement brands use aggressive designs with chaotic textures, over-the-top gradients, and excessive contrast. Hero needed to look powerful but premium, appealing to both hardcore athletes and modern fitness enthusiasts.

 

Solution

  • Matte black packaging for a sleek, high-end feel.

  • Minimalist yet bold typography—Hypothetical Moon of Mercury for impact, Montserrat for clarity.

  • Limited color palette (black, red, gray) to create a strong, disciplined look.

LOGO VERSATILITY & CONSISTENCY

Challenge

The logo needed to be instantly recognizable across labels, digital platforms, and merchandise—but also work at different scales and backgrounds.

 

Solution

  • The red rectangle (cape) stays constant across all variations.

  • The icon alone is used where the full wordmark isn’t possible.

  • The wordmark in red is exclusive to labels, ensuring strong branding.

  • Strict spacing rules maintain balance and visibility.

CRAFTING A UNIQUE VISUAL STYLE FOR SOCIAL MEDIA

Fitness brands often use bright, oversaturated imagery. Hero needed a dark, intense, and aspirational aesthetic while keeping images engaging.
